Iron Frontier

Iron Frontier drops you on a frozen ridge with a handful of settlers and a lot of decisions. You lay out buildings, manage food and warmth, and expand carefully while the weather tries to kill everyone. It's a strategy game that rewards patience over reflexes.

The tension comes from resource juggling. Do you send workers to mine for the metal you need, or keep them chopping wood before the cold snap hits? I lost my first two colonies to bad planning and enjoyed every failure. The interface is clean enough to run comfortably on a smaller screen.

Everything happens locally, so there's no wait timer nonsense and no push to reconnect. You can pause the simulation whenever, which makes it easy to play in bursts.
